Pont Julien Earrings
Pont Julien Earrings
$235.00
In the south-east of France, over the Calavan river, sits the mighty Pont Julien - a Roman bridge, dating to 3 B.C. Its massive sporting columns frame 3 arch openings. These columns were originally constructed to allow water flow underneath, while keeping the main road from Italy to the Roman Empire open and passable.
There is so much beauty in the construction of this bridge - which was fully functional, until 2005, when a new bridge was created so that the Pont Julien could be preserved.
These asymmetrical-style earrings celebrate the fascinating Roman architecture that is prevalent throughout Provence, and move and spin adding an element of surprise.
